Documentary Being Made

31 10 2012

“Bold Mother Hubbard: The Story and Vision of Barbara Marx Hubbard” is the title of a new feature-length documentary being filmed for theater and television.  It follows Barbara’s quest to unite 100 million people during the “birth” of a new humanity on her auspicious 83rd birthday and will be interspersed with aspects of Barbara’s remarkable life.  It is directed by Karen Everett, an award-winning filmmaker, who teaches at the #1-ranked documentary program in the world at UC Berkeley.  Karen will be coming to Reno to participate in the Birth 2012 events from November 14-17 featuring Noel Marshall and Bob Warner, traveling ACEs.  [see last blog].  To see a trailer of Karen’s film, go to http://www.indiegogo.com/boldmotherhubbard

Reno Birth 2012 Events

31 10 2012

Birth 2012 is coming to Reno!  Two of Barbara Marx Hubbard’s ACEs (agents of conscious evolution) are making a 48 state tour to promote her vision and to dialogue about how you can participate in bringing about a positive future.  Their names are Noel Marshall and Bob Warner.  They are spending over six months in this work, an amazing odyssey!

Barbara believes that humanity is giving birth to a more evolved version of itself – which is the true meaning of 2012.  She has had an 80 year career at the leading edge of contemporary thought and innovative action regarding our construction of the future.   Her vision is to achieve a tipping point of people to co-create an evolution from unconscious to conscious choice.   You can become a powerful catalyst of conscious evolution!

Noel & Bob will be appearing in four venues on four nights.  I hope you can attend one of them.  It’s FREE!  Here’s the schedule:

Nov. 14th, 6:00 PM – PPA Group – 5440 Louie Lane, Suite 108, Reno

Barbara Marx Hubbard
To enter the convergence zone as those who are responsible for social innovations, we must become mature imaginal cells. It is a time for continued self-improvement. In fact, the social potential movement gives new meaning to the 30-year effort of millions within the human potential movement. To take the next step we must become more conscious of our own state of being — of our thoughts and intentions. For as we approach the convergence zone, everything within us is magnified, our weaknesses as well as our strengths. The pressure on all social change agents is intense. We continue to struggle to evolve — personally, financially, organizationally — usually with little support from our current culture. Many of us may fall by the wayside, at least for the moment. But those who persevere through the tension zone have a great reward in store for all of us. For once inside the convergence zone new patterns prevail and reinforce one another,  and we get  a taste of the cocreative society — heaven on Earth. Practicing the personal path of the cocreator is vital, for we must stabilize our own higher internal state of being to remain in the convergence zone. Most particularly, we seek to overcome our ego-driven behavior — our desire to dominate and win over others — and learn to cooperate and cocreate. Few of us have learned to remain in our higher state of being. We are competitive and have a desire to win. We lose resonance, we fear rejection, judgment seeps in, and we fall into separation — then struggle to rise again and again, seeking to stabilize. Very few of us have stabilized at our own high norm (certainly including me). We flicker in and out of higher consciousness. But remember, we are still a young species. I believe that we have not yet discovered what it means to be fully human. This is the work of the maturing social potential movement: to provide win-win social systems within which the higher qualities of love, creativity, and the responsibility of humanity can be reinforced and secured.  [Thanks, Madeline, for the quote and highlighting]

Global Oneness Day

24 10 2012

Sorry this posting is late, as the event is today.  I am using the Shift Network’s wording to promote this event below, but it is a wonderful example of what they are doing for free.  I will be busy on the 24th, but their making the recordings available means we can all get the good out of this even at our own convenience.  I like to download such things and listen to them on my iPod when I am walking or doing housework.  Their lineup of presenters is wonderful.  I hope you will enjoy participating too.  Follow one of the links below to sign up.
Love,
Sue

PS if you are too late to sign up, I will have the recordings available.

Hi fellow evolutionary,

There’s a stellar lineup of luminaries including Ken Wilber, Jack Canfield, Lynne McTaggart, Neale Donald Walsch, Barbara Marx Hubbard, Michael Beckwith, don Miguel Ruiz, Jean Houston, Joan Borysenko, Bruce Lipton, Gregg Braden, PLUS special videos from Yoko Ono, Desmond Tutu and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and many more.
It all happens on Wednesday, October 24th, and you can get your complimentary pass for the full day of live events plus all of the recordings here:

Thank You Collaborators + Coming Events

18 10 2012

A sincere thanks to all of you who have sent me resources, web links, news, quotes, etc. these last two weeks.  You are making this blog everything I hoped it would be, especially a way of sharing information and good news.  I will be putting that input on the appropriate blog page, and will try to summarize them in my next post, rather than posting them all separately.  The film showed at our last class, Food Inc., especially sparked input.  If that is something you want to know more about, especially how you can take action, see the page Resources.  If you don’t see something you sent which is important to you, please let me know.

A special event is coming our way.  Two evolutionaries are making a 48 state tour to promote the global Birth 2012 event.  Noel Marshall and Bob Warner have dedicated much of their year motoring across the United States to do this.  Imagine the enthusiasm and dedication this couple has to do this.  They will be appearing in Reno on November 15th and in Truckee on the 16th.  I would encourage all of you to save one of these dates to support their effort and learn how phenomenally things are unfolding.

Another amazing thing is unfolding.  Karen Everett, an award-winning filmmaker who has directed five previous documentaries that have screened at more than 150 film festivals, PBS and Netflix, has been inspired to do a documentary on Barbara Marx Hubbard.  She is calling it “Bold Mother Hubbard.”  She is raising money now “to film Barbara this December as she galvanizes 100 million people to celebrate a planetary ‘Birth 2012’ event.  This unprecedented ‘global birthday’ event will  activate a new age of human possibility and help drive us through our global crises.”  Karen is just another example of someone responding to her evolutionary impulse.  Check out her trailer and info about the film. http://www.indiegogo.com/boldmotherhubbard

Free Global Online Seminar

12 10 2012

Madeline S. just sent me this link:  http://femininepower.com/online-course/free-online-class

Thanks, Madeline.  I have signed up.  It’s FREE!  Barbara Marx Hubbard (an endorser) calls Katherine Woodward Thomas an “evolutionary leader.”  Marianne Williamson, an endorser, is part of her Transformational Leadership Council.  Jean Houston, another endorser, is one of her welcoming committee.  Synchronicity?  Convergence?  Collaboration?  Whatever!  This seems like a wonderful opportunity to use one of our new powerful tools, the Internet, for our evolution.  I have never thought of myself as a feminist, but if that means using the influence my feminine nature and view of the world give me, then maybe I am.  Will I have to burn my bra now?  – Sue

Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking, Malcolm Gladwell

26 09 2012

In his landmark bestseller The Tipping Point, Malcolm Gladwell redefined how we understand the world around us. Now, in Blink, he revolutionizes the way we understand the world within.

Blink is a book about how we think without thinking, about choices that seem to be made in an instant-in the blink of an eye-that actually aren’t as simple as they seem. Why are some people brilliant decision makers, while others are consistently inept? Why do some people follow their instincts and win, while others end up stumbling into error? How do our brains really work-in the office, in the classroom, in the kitchen, and in the bedroom? And why are the best decisions often those that are impossible to explain to others?
